atlanta craft council: demo & project

The hotel is booked, the cases brought out and I am in serious prep mode for the American Craft Council Show in Atlanta this weekend. I was quite honored to be asked to do both a demonstration and a hands-on project. I am still debating which animal pillow I will make...so it will remain a secret until 11 am Saturday at the Cobb Galleria.

Yesterday I settled upon the embroidery designs after brainstorming over breakfast with my 10 year old art director. We decided on some sweet spring designs: a simple bunny, for younger or less experienced participants, and a happy flower. The embroidery project will start at 12pm - I will bring along 15 of the bunnies and 10 of the flowers...so come early to ensure you get your favorite.

Each small drawstring bag is made of unbleached cotton osnaburg and has a jute string. We probably have ten here and there...all over the house. They are perfect for snack bags, lunch sacks, picnics, i-pods and headphones, crochet hooks and yarn, toiletries for trips - just about anything needing to be stashed can be tucked away into your very own hand decorated pouch.

If you are in the Atlanta area, please stop by and say hello...
